Did you know: Grant has lived in the Treasure Valley for 45 Years.

Grant L. Petersen, Jr.,
President & CEO, Bronco Motors, Inc.

What is the first thing you would show a visitor to the Treasure Valley?

The first thing I would show a visitor would be the world-famous blue turf at Boise State University. This turf has not only had hundreds of football games played on it, it also has shown the rest of the country what the Treasure Valley looks like – from the mountains in the background to the beautiful Boise River and skyline of Downtown.

What is your company’s philosophy on the importance of community?

My late father and mother, Grant L. Petersen Sr. and Joyce C. Petersen, instilled in me a strong sense of community. We have a responsibility to pay it forward for generations to come. At Bronco Motors, our charge daily is to serve our community, whether with the quality of our products and service, or with our community partnerships that range from the arts with the Idaho Shakespeare Festival to St. Luke’s/MSTI with Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

What makes the Treasure Valley a great place to live?

Whether you are a college student, an entrepreneur, married with kids or an empty-nester, the Treasure Valley offers a slew of opportunities to not just grow, but to thrive at any stage of life. Add that to the natural amenities, the growing arts and entertainment options and the good-natured spirit of Idahoans, and it is no wonder why we are often nationally recognized for everything from innovation to the best place to raise a family and, of course, the best FANS! (Go Broncos!)

What is the Treasure Valley’s best-kept secret?

The best-kept secret is the fact that you can be out of the city in a matter of minutes, enjoying the beautiful outdoors. The Boise Foothills are a great place to re-energize by hiking, mountain biking and skiing.

Why did you choose to get involved in Together Treasure Valley?

I want to support our communities in a way that enhances the quality of life here in the Treasure Valley and the great State of Idaho. I saw this opportunity to partner with other community leaders as a way to make an impactful difference. Alone we each can only do so much, but together meaningful changes occur.

Anything else you’d like to highlight about how your company supports the Treasure Valley?

It is important to me that my company play an active and positive role in the community where we live and work. From our BBB, IADA and Chamber memberships to our sponsorships of local events like the Twilight Criterium and the Holiday Parade as well as our long-term commitments to MSTI, the Idaho Humane Society and many other local organizations, we work to lift those around us so that our communities remain the best in the Northwest and the Nation!
