Nampa’s new Together Treasure Valley Computer Lab for Kids will ensure area children will have access to computers to gain the skills necessary for school and future employment.

The Nampa Public Library is dedicated to providing valuable resources to those they serve and now with the help of a donation of $8,000 from the partners of Together Treasure Valley, young children will have safe access to computers. The dedicated computer lab for kids will consist of six computers loaded with software and databases that reinforce age-appropriate activities that will incite the excitement of learning. The lab will be located in the first-floor children’s area, away from other public computers, and only accessible to children.

Children will have hands on opportunities to explore and challenge themselves in a skills-based environment. “Last year, more than 26,000 children attended library programs at the Nampa Public Library,” said Claire Connely, Nampa Public Library Director. “Therefore, we believe our dedicated computer lab will be utilized by area children, helping them become comfortable with computers at an early age and gain the skills necessary for future employment.”
